As many of you know, I joined the Secret Garden Distillery in early 2021 to help the founder Hamish Martin to bring his story and wonderful message to a much wider audience. It has been a hectic time over the last few months, with a lot of work done behind the scenes starting to finally come through, such as the new branding for the natural premium gin range produced by the Secret Garden Distillery, using hand harvested botanicals from the garden and showcasing the rooted in nature aspect of the business.

There has also been work done on recruitment, bringing in some real talent to add value to the business and work together with all the great people already at the distillery and garden. We have also been talking to all of our existing customers and partners, both domestically and abroad, in order to find ways to grow together sustainably as we move into the next stage of development for the company and its products.

But we’ve had to contend with some real challenges, from material supply delays and other issues beyond our control to all the additional work and restrictions created by Brexit. It is fair to say that it has not been easy but we will strive to find ways to manage the day to day challenges posed to a typical SME business, like many others in the drinks industry.

On a positive note, we have worked with partners to develop new products, such as our Secret Garden Wild Vodka made with Scottish botanicals from the garden and launched exclusively with Harrods. This is only one of our new projects that will be coming out in the next few weeks and months to come.

We have also continued to engage with our fans and grow the number of members of our Secret Garden Gin Club. If you want to know more or join this exclusive club with access to one off limited edition gins every month, then click here.

I recently took a week off on holiday and have been reflecting on all of the work already put into the Secret Garden Distillery since joining them. I am feeling positive about the road ahead. This is supported by the quality of the natural products, the home at the Secret Garden in Edinburgh and all of the visitors that have come to visit us before and after lockdown and our founder Hamish Martin and his message of how more of us can live in tandem with nature. All of which I believe will resonate with many people in the UK and beyond.

If you want to be part of our journey and help in sharing our range of natural premium gins and health & wellness products with more people, than please contact me on [email protected] as we want to work with more customers and increase our distribution internationally.

I hope to see you around and meet more people as we start to travel and come out from under all of the recent restrictions….
