This is a family run micro brewery first established in 2011 on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond by Fiona and Euan. Despite its short life, Loch Lomond Brewery has already established a strong reputation for producing high quality ales.

The Head Brewer is Fiona MacEachern (picture above) who started home brewing as a hobby before making it into a full time occupation. I was fortunate enough to meet her and the team when showing up for a quick visit recently (pictured below with Duncan).

The Loch Lomond Brewery team (below) has grown since 2011 when Euan and Fiona started the business and we should all be thankful for this, as it highlights the wonderful work being done to expand the reach of their award winning products beyond the shores of Loch Lomond and the local area.

The brewery draws its pure soft Scottish water from Glen Finlas on the western side of the Loch. This provides a fantastic starting point and base for all their beers.

Loch Lomond Brewery has a number of regular ales and also have an ever changing array of monthly and seasonal ales too. Their online shop shop can be accessed for orders for ‘a little of what you fancy’ – please click here.

The actual micro brewery location is a short walk from the Loch Lomond Distillery in Alexandria, Scotland.

Their blog page is also worth a visit, highlighting new craft products being released and extension of distribution to make it even easier for us to find them (such as a recent Marks & Spencer listing).

Personally, I bought a few of their different variants when visiting and look forward to having a session with friends soon to have a blind tasting on all of them, given the sheer variety of flavours and styles on offer.
