It is the efforts of everyone in the building that we have to thank, and it is great that this has been recognised.” Declan McGurk (pictured below) speaking about winning the Bar Manager of the Year award

Successfully combining the level of service and sophistication of a hotel bar with a lively atmosphere, the American Bar’s classic 1930s elegance provides guests with an intimate space to enjoy the world’s finest cocktails.

In April 2018, the American Bar launched its ‘Every Moment Tells A Story’ menu which drew inspiration from twenty iconic black and white portraits by the British photographer Terry O’Neill that have adorned the American Bar walls since the 1980s. Featuring the likes of Ava Gardner, Elizabeth Taylor and David Bowie,  each portrait displayed in the bar reveals a hidden story, and the American Bar team used these tales as the basis of this innovative, yet timeless menu. The American Bar will launch a brand new menu in April this year.
