Matt and John, an AI engineer and AI researcher, built guinndex.ai for Ireland and people kept asking for the UK so they created The Guinndex UK.
The Guinndex is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Guinness, Diageo, or any related entity. This is an independent project born out of curiosity and a love of a good pint.
They have used the Google Maps API to index 46,235+ pubs across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Their AI voice agent ‘Rachel’ called all of them to ask the price of a pint and people across the UK are contributing what they paid to keep the index alive.
In addition to the price of Guinness throughout the UK, there is also lots of other interesting info such as ‘County Pub Ratings’, ‘Best Pub Names’, ‘Pubs with a Past Life’, and much more as well as specific pub facts for each of the countries in the UK.
