English Whisky Week (EWW) returns from 18–26 April 2026, inviting visitors, locals, and communities across England to discover the range of English Whiskies produced throughout the country and to explore the people, places and stories behind them. Whether someone is revisiting a favourite distillery close to home or taking the chance to discover somewhere new while travelling, English Whisky Week brings together opportunities to experience English Whisky in welcoming and engaging ways.
Throughout the week, distilleries across England will host a variety of experiences, including tastings, masterclasses and visitor activities. Several sites will also offer discounted or complimentary tours, with Witchmark Distillery and The English Distillery among those providing special offers for visitors.
The Cotswolds Distillery is marking EWW with a celebration of the English Old Fashioned, exclusive serves across local pubs, special distillery offerings, and a terrace finale on 26 April. Other participating distilleries will welcome guests for their usual tours and experiences, each bringing their own approach to hosting visitors during the Week. A number of producers will also share small, event‑specific releases as part of their activity programmes.
Community involvement will play a significant role once again, with writers, local organisations, whisky clubs and content creators sharing articles, videos and social posts that bring new perspectives and regional stories into the celebration. This follows strong engagement during English Whisky Week 2025, when visitors used the interactive map on the English Whisky Week (EWW) website to explore distilleries and experience events across the country.
With over 70 English Whisky distilleries now operating nationwide, and more than 40 already releasing whisky to the market, the category continues to develop its identity, broaden its audience and attract increasing interest from both domestic and international visitors.
“We were delighted by the enthusiasm shown during last year’s English Whisky Week,” said Morag Garden, CEO of the English Whisky Guild. “This year’s Week is an open invitation to explore, discover and enjoy England’s whiskies – whether that means reconnecting with a local favourite or finding somewhere completely new. English Whisky is produced and enjoyed all year round, and this celebration is a chance to shine a light on the people and places who make it what it is.”

“It’s exciting to see how many visitors are choosing to explore English distilleries,” said Dr Abbie Jaume, Co-founder, Cooper King Distillery. “People are curious, engaged and eager to learn more about the whiskies being made across England. English Whisky Week gives us a wonderful moment to welcome visitors in, share our story and be part of something that brings distilleries together across the country.”
“Last year’s English Whisky Week brought a real sense of connection between distilleries and visitors,” said Laurence Conisbee, Wharf Distillery. “We’re looking forward to opening our doors again and being part of a nationwide celebration that encourages people to discover the variety and character of England’s whiskies.”
“English Whisky Week celebrates one of the most exciting and dynamic categories in global spirits. Across the country, distillers are pushing boundaries while remaining deeply committed to quality and provenance. It’s a moment to recognise how far English Whisky has come, and to invite more people to discover its distinctive and diverse character.” Dan Szor, Founder & CEO, Cotswolds Distillery
