Samuel Allsopp & Sons

Samuel Allsopp & Sons is a historic British brewing name dating back to 1730, with a heritage rooted in quality, character and a passion for great beer. Now entering an exciting new chapter, Allsopp’s is bringing its legacy to life through a collection of distinctive pubs, combining traditional British pub culture with a fresh, modern approach.

About the role

We’re looking for a commercially driven, highly organised and relationship-focused Events & Business Development Manager to oversee events and drive revenue across The Blue Stoops and The Warrington, our exciting new London pub opening in March 2027.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day events function across two venues, converting enquiries into bookings, developing new business relationships and delivering exceptional client experiences from first contact through to event completion.

Working closely with senior leadership, venue teams and our Events & Sales Consultant, you’ll help bring The Warrington’s events offering to life ahead of opening, while growing the existing events business at The Blue Stoops.

From private celebrations and corporate events to VIP relationships, local partnerships and concierge networks, you’ll play a key role in building a strong sales pipeline and maximising commercial opportunities.

Our venues

The Blue Stoops is a characterful London pub offering a welcoming setting for memorable gatherings, private celebrations, group bookings and corporate events.

The Warrington is an exciting new addition to the Allsopp’s collection, opening in March 2027. You’ll have the opportunity to help establish its events business from the outset, building relationships, converting pre-opening enquiries and embedding the systems and processes that will drive long-term success.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines experience in premium or luxury hospitality with a strong commercial mindset and a genuine talent for building relationships.

You’ll understand the importance of exceptional service, attention to detail and personalised client care, while being confident driving sales, converting opportunities and generating revenue.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in events, sales or business development within premium or luxury hospitality, such as high-end hotels, private members’ clubs, luxury restaurants, premium pub groups or events-led venues.
  • A proven ability to convert enquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate and close bookings.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and confidence engaging corporate clients, local businesses, agencies, VIPs and concierge partners.
  • A proactive approach to generating new business, developing repeat bookings and identifying opportunities to grow revenue.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries, bookings and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Confidence using CRM and booking systems, ideally including SevenRooms, alongside accurate sales pipeline management and performance reporting.
  • A hands-on attitude, commercial awareness and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional guest and client experiences.

You’ll be personable, polished and commercially astute, with the confidence to represent the Allsopp’s brand professionally and build lasting relationships with a discerning clientele. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, take ownership of your work and enjoy helping build something for the long term.

The opportunity

  • Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum, with tronc arrangements to be confirmed.
  • Working pattern: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm, with occasional evenings and weekends as required and time off in lieu.
  • Location: London, working across The Blue Stoops and The Warrington, with at least four days a week office/site-based and one day working from home.

If you have a background in premium hospitality, a passion for exceptional service and the commercial drive to turn relationships into revenue, we’d love to hear from you.

Join Allsopp’s and help shape the next chapter of our events business.
