General Description Of The Role

The Talent & Learning Director, APAC is responsible for:

  • Driving the success of our regional talent and learning initiatives, ensuring the alignment with our global strategies in talent management, performance management, talent development, learning, culture & engagement, DE&I
  • Delivering optimal solutions to meet the unique talent needs of the region
  • Deployment of global talent management, talent development, learning, culture & engagement, DE&I


  • Providing consultancy to the regional and local HR teams.
  • Assess and understand local and regional learning needs vs global priorities, feedback to global, communicate to local, and work to propose and implement suitable recommendations to fill gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Informed by global and regional business and organizational priorities and context, develop and implement regional talent roadmap, including succession planning to key regional roles and ensuring leadership continuity.
  • Lead the local deployment of global talent and learning initiatives, achieving seamless integration into regional practices.
  • Provide high-impact consultancy to regional leadership teams and HR partners, identifying talent needs, leveraging global offering and crafting bespoke solutions when required.
  • Facilitate talent management processes, including performance assessment, talent management and development planning, to support regional talent roadmap objectives.
  • Foster continuous alignment and transparency between regional and global HR initiatives, contributing to the evolution of organizational talent practices.
  • Tthrough consulations with global/regional, to identify development gaps within the organisation, and to propose, work on, and implement suitable recommendations to fill the development gaps
  • Informed by people insights, business priorities and best practice, deliver programs to
  • create and amplify cultural awareness,
  • enhance emplpoyee engagement,
  • create sense of belonging, recognition and purpose,
  • drive equity,
  • ensure overall employee well-being.

Work Distribution:

Talent Management and Succession Planning: 30%

Deployment of Global Talent and Learning Initiatives: 30%

Delivery at Regional and Local Levels: 20%

Consultancy on Regional Talent Needs: 20%

Language Skills:

  • English: Full working proficiency
  • Additional language within APAC a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in talent management, learning and development, or HR consultancy, preferably in a regional or global role.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and trends, particularly in talent, succession planning, culture & engagement, DE&I.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, stakeholder management and consultancy skills – ability to articulate a compelling case drawn from data.
  • Ability to balance strategic work with delivery, translating global initiatives into local actions.
  • Ability to analyze and meet strategic business needs, translate them into relevant solutions and ensure their end-to-end delivery
  • Strong project management capability, able to work and lead multiple projects through different phases simultaneously
  • International experience as a plus – living and working abroad
  • Externally oriented & strategic thinker
