Delivering business growth in Prestige to the $1bn ambition by 2030 is a major transformation for Suntory Global Spirits. It will require new skills and leadership across all parts of our business from local markets to Global Brand Houses and Commercial Excellence.

The Prestige Capability Manager role is responsible for supporting our commercial Prestige business in the identified key cities through the identification, development and implementation of capability programs and tools in collaboration with the local marketing and commercial teams, Global Brand Houses, Global Capability and Route to Commercial Excellence teams.

This role is the lead key contact in the co-ordination of the Brand Ambassador Community.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the Commercial Prestige Director in building the Luxury capabilities of our commercial Prestige business in the Top 21 Cities and GTR: Target audience: Leadership, Prestige KAMs, Brand Ambassadors, Commercial Marketing, PR/Brand
  • In collaboration with an agency partner develop and implement one global luxury capability program: scope to include understanding of luxury landscape, luxury customer account partnership, luxury selling, excellence in execution, advocacy, and PR, etc.
  • Work in collaboration with RTCE and Global Capability to ensure this program follows global standards and is integrated with existing learning and execution frameworks. EG 6 steps of the call.
  • Develop ‘train the trainer’ capabilities that enable ongoing execution of the learning.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the global program across our key cities; including immersion into the broader luxury landscape.
  • Track progress of participation and capability improvement versus identified KPIs.
  • Ensure an ongoing learning plan is planned and executed via virtual means, accessible for new starters and new-to-role employees.
  • Create a kaizen approach in support of the strategic ambition:
  • Continue to identify and develop capabilities that enable implementation of the prestige strategy in key cities.
  • Support key initiatives identified by the global Prestige team in partnership with GBH Business Develop Managers
  • Gather key insights from BAs and share with our GBH to continue to improve the brand experiences created within our brand homes.
  • Working closely across GBH and markets identify key learnings and common approaches to brand experiences and education which can be delivered outside of the brand homes. Eg. Scotch summit in US or virtual connections.
  • Connect and Inspire our Brand Ambassador community:
  • Connect the BA community: act as a single point of contact bringing that community together to share Gemba best practices, create learning opportunities & project collaborations. (e.g. Dojo / luxury experiences). Eg Community Calls
  • Partner with GBH Advocacy leads to integrate Prestige key learnings into development of Advocacy programming and tools required by our BAs
  • Support the training development that our BAs require in the Key Cities. This is not individual brand programmes (that is owned by the BHs) but the luxury basics that are required for all brands.
  • Partner with GTR on the development of luxury capabilities for Brand Ambassadors across key airport hubs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in luxury brand execution/advocacy/building capabilities
  • Demonstrated understanding of the key success factors required in executing luxury brands.
  • Experience in identifying and developing the most effective capability programming, especially when executing a prestige portfolio with luxury customers.
  • Ability to measure effectiveness of capability programs and ongoing learning plans.
  • Ability to translate key learnings and insights into meaningful implications for key stakeholders.
  • Experience in effective agency management
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and collaborate with key city teams.
  • Understanding of commercial marketing – channel and customers planning, outlet segmentation, 1:9 accounts
  • Expert in advocacy and the role of Brand Ambassadors, especially Prestige.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Experience implementing programs across diverse cultural markets.
  • Willingness to travel to all global markets and accounts. Up to 10%
