On Trade Sales Ambassador

Reporting to the Head of Sales we’re looking for a tenacious, ambitious and charismatic voice for the on-trade in the UK. You’ll be at the forefront of not only El Rayo’s quest to become the best-selling premium Tequila in the UK, but also growing the awareness of the category overall.

We are looking for someone who understands the on-trade landscape inside and out!

We’ve given you a nice head start though, having launched in our first two national grocers this year (Sainsbury’s & Waitrose) alongside being poured in over 750+ of the UK’s most prestigious bars & restaurants – Sushi Samba, The Botanist, Fullers Pubs to name a few.

You’ll be expected to build and nurture a large number of accounts across the UK on-premise, paying particular attention to our top bars and those leading our Tequila and Tonic (T&T) serve strategy.

This is a hugely exciting opportunity for someone to stamp their own mark and personality on one of the most disruptive brands in the spirits industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Nurturing a current stable of accounts and developing a commercial strategy that drives ROS growth with them.
  • Making the Tequila & Tonic the first drink of the night in the on trade at scale. Winning listings, developing initiatives and building hype and awareness around our hero serve.
  • Securing house pour volume accounts that are going to deliver the company’s commercial on trade targets across key UK cities with a particular focus on London.
  • Living and breathing the brand in the on trade, educating key accounts with workshops and events that inspire and intrigue.
  • Supporting the Head of Sales to shape our overall on trade commercial strategy, with responsibility for driving growth in this channel for years to come.
  • Working closely with our marketing team to develop and hone our T&T activation strategy in the on trade with events, partnerships, takeovers and more.

What you might look like:

  • You have at least 2-3 years of London On-trade experience in a sales or brand ambassador like role.
  • You have a great contact list across multiple cities and the ability to effect change with key decision makers.
  • You know the UK on trade inside out, with great personal and presentation skills to be able to speak to the trade in their language.
  • You think big and want to be part of something special, with a natural ability to see the bigger picture and help shape change in a young, fast paced company.
  • You take initiative and bring solutions not problems to the table. You have a natural creative flair when it comes to problem solving.
  • You have serious levels of organisation with great time management and planning to be able to work autonomously when needed.
  • You’re a team player and look to go above and beyond.
