The Role

· Shape and deliver a sales strategy for Big Smoke Brew Co, provide well-honed forecasts and financial projections that stakeholders can rely on

· Be a champion of the brand, working closely with the marketing team to optimally position our products in a busy and saturated marketplace

· Build a competent and professional sales team, with ambitious performance targets and strong culture to deliver the strategy you’ll design

Key deliverables

· Create a well-informed and deliverable 3-5 year commercial strategy in line with the company’s wider business plan, developing profitability alongside growth

· Provide short term and long term sales forecasts across all channels, own and manage delivery of projections

· Assume complete commercial ownership of profit margins (P&L accountability), managing departmental performance and ensuring that your sales team are aligned with targets

· Ensure the team is effectively maintaining and nurturing key relationships while developing joint business plans in order to deliver growth and profit targets

· Create a customer channel strategy and new customer pipeline, maintain a CRM database

· Inform NPD decisions in conjunction with brewers and head of production

People Management

· Recruit, hire and manage an ambitious and successful sales team, support your team in their day-to-day work

· Schedule regular meetings and one-on-ones with team members, ensuring objectives are set; monitor progress, carry out performance reviews, give constructive feedback

· Manage the labour budget, control marketing and travel expenses for the sales team

Experience, skills and qualifications

· Demonstrate superior management skills to effectively lead, manage and grow the team

· Highly developed skills in budgeting, negotiation, project management, and administration

· Comprehensive knowledge of the UK drinks industry

· At least 5 years of senior leadership experience, managing a multichannel brand

· Excellent spreadsheet skills and a working knowledge of slide software, the ability to create and present engaging decks

· This role is based in Esher, Surrey (a 20 minute train ride from London Waterloo and within the M25)

Salary: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
