Head of Sales – Focus Europe *Can be based anywhere in the EU*

A premium drinks business is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales to lead its export strategy, focusing on the European market. This role offers a unique opportunity for a driven professional to act as an ambassador for the brand, grow distribution and volume in Europe, and unlock new regions for further expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

Export Strategy & Execution:

  • Develops and executes an export strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives, with a core focus on Europe to grow distribution and volume.
  • Identifies and unlocks new regions for market expansion.

Commercial Management:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for distribution partners, handling all commercial-related issues and challenges.
  • Manages day-to-day export operations across Europe, ensuring the delivery of sales targets, budgets, brand plans, and activations.

Marketing Management:

  • Ensures local adaptation of global brand plans and guidelines, maintaining consistency across all brand touchpoints.

Operations Management:

  • Handles contract negotiations, renewals, order processing, late payments, and A&P budget follow-ups.
  • Develops and implements strategies to drive volume and distribution in the market.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Works closely with operations and marketing teams, applying functional capabilities to manage the business effectively.

Forecasting & Reporting:

  • Delivers consolidated rolling 3-month forecasts for all markets and ensures appropriate stock levels.
  • Provides monthly reports on depletions by market, channel, and customer, as well as stock levels.
  • Reports quarterly on budgets, A&P spending, and in-market activations.

In-market Representation:

  • Conducts a minimum of two annual business reviews with all partners to ensure performance and budget targets are met.
  • Continuously assesses distributor commercial and marketing capabilities.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Keeps the Founder/CEO informed of progress and any challenges.
  • Attends weekly Trading Meetings and bi-monthly Company Meetings to share updates.

Maximize Partnerships:

  • Leverages brand and spirit partnerships, as well as market data, to support and grow accounts.
  • Ensures new product developments are rolled out to existing accounts and leveraged for new account acquisition.

Person Profile:

Must have a clear contact book of Export contacts throughout Europe and come from a wine or spirits background
