As a key source of information within the business, the role of the Brand Manager is to own the global and domestic branded agenda for one of Scotland’s oldest whisky families – championing them and strategically driving them internally and externally to ensure future growth. The role also assumes responsibility for the highly anticipated release of our own single malt brand.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  • Ultimately to ensure success of your brands by driving the creative agenda for brand awareness and engagement
  • Overall responsibility for the creation and execution of the global brand plans associated with your brands online and offline – encompassing events, PR and POS
  • Development of all NPD / line extensions across your brands, including launch events
  • Planning and activating Social Media strategy, content and community management for your brands
  • New brand development and strategy for new Single Malt Scotch Whisky including all PR and communication around the launch plan
  • Own the digital side of marketing activity
  • Accountable for your brands’ P&L and budget management / reporting
  • Manage festivals and events including awards dinners
  • Any other activities deemed necessary to improve the performance of the department


  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business or Marketing)
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of brand development and have worked in an environment where you have managed multiple projects for a minimum 3 years
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to influence and provide clear, concise direction and feedback to internal / external stakeholders
  • Capable of proposing and implementing a strategic plan in-line with the company vision
  • An exemplary level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work proactively and use own initiative
