West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 by John O’Connell, Denis McCarthy and Ger McCarthy and has since grown to a team of over 120 people based in our distillery in Skibbereen, Co. Cork. We are built on an entrepreneurial energy and a passion for the science and art of spirit and whiskey production.

We have been recognised for our innovative approach, and credited with maturing, distilling and bottling some of the finest craft Irish Whiskey on the global market today.

We are looking for..

We are looking for a Global Brand Manager to join our growing marketing team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience of working within the FMCG sector executing marketing strategy and engaging with distributors in both local and international markets.

This role is based in our facility in Marsh Road, Skibbereen, Co.Cork, with an option to work on a hybrid basis.

What You’ll Do..

  • Support the planning and delivery of annual brand and marketing strategy
  • Project management in alignment with marketing objectives, deadlines and budgets across our core international markets
  • Build relationships with key global partners/distributors to ensure consistency across markets, this may include a low level of international travel to priority markets.
  • Communicate cross functionally within West Cork Distillers to ensure the delivery of brand objectives for the development of through the line activity in line with brand goals
  • Lead cross agency teams and foster new partnerships in developing the West Cork Irish Whiskey’s communication approach in an omnichannel environment to ensure a unified and consistent experience for our customers
  • Managing packaging adaptations for international markets, from design to delivery in accordance with relevant market legal requirements.
  • Assisting the commercial team with coordination of point-of-sale materials & international whiskey trade shows
  • Execute brand strategy goals adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Manage and track marketing spend for core markets, in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Commercial Officer

What You’ll Have..

  • Relevant degree, masters or equivalent experience in a marketing discipline
  • 3-5 years’ experience in international brand management, ideally in FMCG (spirits industry an added bonus)
  • Previous experience of working with an international distribution network
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of pricing management, promo strategy, margin mix and volume drivers
  • Commercial awareness and financial acumen
  • Online and traditional marketing experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying priority at one time
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
