The Campbeltown Malts Festival 2026
May 18 - May 23

The Campbeltown Malts Festival is a four-day celebration of Campbeltown’s whiskies – Glen Scotia, Springbank, Glengyle as well as Watt Whisky and the oldest independent bottler in Scotland: Cadenhead’s.
We look forward to Witchburn Distillery, Dal Riata Distillery and The Machrihanish Distillery to join in future once they open their doors!
Expect distillery tours, masterclasses, local craft stalls, live music, special bottlings and much much more in various venues around Campbeltown.
The event usually takes place before the Fèis Ìle in Islay.

December 19, 2024Hi, my wife will be traveling around Argyle during the week of May 19, 2025. Is the Campbeltown Whiskey Festival worth a visit and/or is it too crowded with tourists and better to visit Campbeltown when the festival is not happening?

December 19, 2024Thanks for the message. If you have booked into events, then it should be fine but best to purchase tickets in advance.

February 6, 2025Definitely worth visiting. Thursday the 22nd May is the headline day as that’s Springbank day and draws the crowds however this is also the best day to visit if just dropping in for one day. Free tours of SB and Kk distilleries throughout the day, an expansive selection of whisky available by the dram at very resonable prices. Throught the wk there are loads of organised tasting events across the town but as previous reply states you will need to book most I advance. Info available on Eventbrite, Springbank, Cadenhead’s and GlenScotias website. Festival is great as long as you like whisky. Other stalls are very limited.
