In December 2024, HM The King and HM The Queen granted their second set of Royal Warrants of Appointment of the new reign.
The grants were made to 386 companies drawn from those previously holding a single Royal Warrant of Appointment to Queen Elizabeth II, together with 7 companies that have an established and ongoing trading relationship with HM Queen Camilla.
These grants follow 152 Royal Warrants granted by Their Majesties in May, to companies drawn from those previously holding a Royal Warrant of Appointment to His Majesty as Prince of Wales, who began granting Warrants in 1980.

What is a Royal Warrant?
A Royal Warrant of Appointment is a document that permits a company to use the Royal Arms in connection with its business in an appointed trading capacity. It is granted for up to five years at a time as a mark of recognition for the ongoing supply of goods or services to the Royal Household.
These warrant holders have permission to display the Royal Arms and the words ‘By Appointment’ on their products, premises, vehicles and advertising materials.
Drinks brands and merchants with royal warrants from the late Queen include: Angostura, Martini, Bollinger, Mumm, Krug, Lanson, Roederer, Moët, Veuve Clicquot, Dubonnet, Harveys sherry, Dewar’s, Johnnie Walker, Justerini & Brooks, Lea & Sandeman, Matthew Gloag, Pol Roger, Symington Family Estates, Tanqueray, Gordon’s gin, Taylor’s port, Royal Lochnagar whisky, Pimm’s, Hine, Valvona & Crolla, Walker & Woodhouse and Windsor & Eton Brewery.
After a monarch’s death the warrants become void, but the holders can continue to use the crest for two years “provided there is no significant change within the company concerned”, according to the Royal Warrant Holders Association.

Walker & Wodehouse Wines Limited

Purveyors of Wine & Spirits By Royal Appointment
Founded in 1829, Champagne Bollinger is one of the few remaining family-owned champagne houses. With its distinctive range of Pinot Noir-driven champagnes, the house has enjoyed a close association with Britain since 1858 and prides itself on having held a Royal Warrant continuously since first awarded by Queen Victoria in 1884.
Its style stems from a solid base, rooted in five tangible principles:
• The House vineyards: cover 164 ha, 85% Grand and Premier Cru.
• Pinot Noir: the heart of the Grand Cru of Aÿ from the very beginning, the House of Bollinger built its reputation by glorifying this grape variety.
• Magnums of reserve wines: the keystone of the blend and the perpetuation of the Special Cuvée style, the standard bearer of Champagne Bollinger.
• The barrels: over 3,500 old barrels that produce micro-oxygenation of the wines, the secret to their excellent ageing capacity.
• Time: all of our wines are aged in the cellars two to three times longer than required by the Appellation regulations.
Champagne Louis Roederer is one of the few remaining independent and family-owned great Champagne houses. In January 2006 the management of the house passed from Jean-Claude Rouzaud to his son, making Frédéric Rouzaud the seventh generation of the family at the head of the company.
Roederer owns just over 240 hectares of vineyards located in the Grand and Premier vineyards of Champagne – Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. Roederer uses 100% of its own grapes for vintage styles, and provides over 75% of its own grapes for Brut Premier. Roederer farm all their vineyards organically and are steadily converting to biodynamic farming practices.
The award-winning range, overseen by Master Blender Dr Emma Walker, also includes Johnnie Walker Red Label, Double Black, Green Label, Gold Label Reserve, Aged 18 Years and Blue Label.
In 2021, Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh was opened by HRH The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay. This global visitor experience offers an immersive Journey of Flavour, cocktails with views of Edinburgh Castle and is connected to distilleries in the four corners of Scotland.
Martini Vermouth (Bacardi-Martini Limited)
First created in 1863 in Turin, the original MARTINI vermouth quickly became a worldwide phenomenon thanks to the perfect partnership of entrepreneur Alessandro Martini and Luigi Rossi, a genius at creating the finest botanical aromas and flavours.
As well as the classic MARTINI Bianco, Rosso, Rosato and Extra Dry, the portfolio includes: MARTINI Fiero, the MARTINI Riserva Speciale range and MARTINI sparkling wines.
Tanqueray Gordon & Company Ltd. (Diageo)
Gordon’s has the reputation of being the ‘ginniest’ of gins, juniper-led with zesty citrus notes. The collection also includes Gordon’s Premium Pink and Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Distilled Gins. Gordon’s 0.0%, with a bold juniper taste and smooth character, is an ideal alcohol-free alternative to the usual Gordon’s & tonic.
It’s not just the recipe that makes Tanqueray unique; it’s knowledge passed through generations of Master Distillers and the Old Tom still, built in the reign of King George III, remains in use today. Furthering the legacy, Tanqueray No. TEN set the standard for ultra-premium gin, and new flavours such as Blackcurrant Royale continue to be inspired by Charles Tanqueray .
The Famous Grouse (Matthew Gloag & Son Ltd.)
Matthew Gloag & Son LTD started in 1800 in general grocery, branching into wines and spirits in the mid 1800s. Its niche was found with the introduction of The Famous Grouse Scotch Whisky in 1896, which has grown to become the leading Scotch Whisky in the UK and one of the top ten leading Scotch Whiskies globally.
The distillery opened in 1845 as Lochnagar, named after the nearby Munro. Three years later it was granted the title Royal Lochnagar following a visit by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert; the 170th anniversary was marked by a visit from HRH The former Prince of Wales and Duke of Rothesay.
Fed by the crystal clear water of the Scarnock springs, Royal Lochnagar retains a traditional appearance and methods of manual production, including pagoda kiln heads and an open mash tun, to make the finest quality spirit.
