Distill Ventures have released their white paper on New World Whisky. Through interviews with whisky makers, retailers, bartenders and craft spirits analysts, the latest category insights and data, as well as their own US and UK consumer survey, they believe that New World whisky is playing an important role in helping develop the whisky industry.
Perhaps surprising to some, whilst whisky is traditionally considered a product of Scotland, Ireland and the US, today there are over 30 countries making whisky around the world.
The white paper sets out the definition of New World Whisky, its consumers and makers and the retail trends and environment in which these brands are coming into as well as a prediction of the future.
