This is a new trade digital and print magazine for the global drinks industry launched in March 2019. Focusing on the wine and spirits sector, the publication aims to be a one-stop shop for the drinks executive, offering an independent and unparalleled mix of global coverage, industry insights and high-profile interviews.

Aside from the usual mix of news, interviews, new drinks products, financial analysis, category evaluation and global travel retail (GTR) information, the magazine also has other sections focusing on market intelligence for example (such as the IWSR-Vinexpo Report and the information on Wine Consumption from the May 2019 issue – pictured below).

This should not come as a surprise given the people behind the new drinks title, such as ISWR Magazine founder and editor Alex Smith (pictured below), who launched Global Drinks Intel. after 20 years at The IWSR. Their aim is to curate information, bringing to light in a concise manner the ‘how and why’ behind the top-line numbers.

Global Drinks Intel. has also a particular strong focus on global travel retail (GTR), with Doug Newhouse, the former head of Travel Retail Business, heading up its travel-retail coverage.

Other sections from the May 2019 issue, include Market Intelligence on UK Cider, Spirits Spotlight on the Innovation in Rum and also on Malt Whisky, Retail Review on the Chinese Traveller and on Duty Free Margins, and a Gebr. Heinemann Interview amongst others.
