This is the gin formerly known as Warner Edward’s Gin until the company, Warner’s Distillery, went through a brand refresh recently and removed its co-founder Sion Edwards’ surname from the title, as he departed the business.

The Northamptonshire-based gin went from a seed in 2009 to launch in 2012 by Edwards and Tom Warner, and is currently led by Warner and his wife, Tina Warner-Keogh (pictured below).

“I love what I do because we’re creating a legacy for the family farm. I love seeing people’s reactions when they hear the story of how we started in our 200-year-old barn and watching them experience what we do first-hand on our tours. It’s great to do something on a daily basis that works with and helps to preserve our natural environment.” Tina Warner-Keogh

Each bottle highlights Warner’s craft approach with terms such as ‘Handmade in small batches’, and the name of the individual distiller who created the gin is also written on the bottle neck.

Their flagship Warner’s Harrington Dry Gin is distilled in Northamptonshire in a 500-liter copper pot-still named “Curiosity”, named after a cat that left its paws on the cement in the distillery. It is comprised of 11 botanicals, including homegrown elderflower, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg, and a secret ingredient. It is then brought to bottling proof of 44% ABV with spring water drawn 300 meters from the distillery.
“My wife Tina and I have worked incredibly hard since launching Warner Edwards back in 2012, with a goal of saving the world from mediocre gin.” Tom Warner
The company behind it is growing quickly and they have officially been ranked as the UK’s 6th fastest growing private company in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100!

Despite this focus on rapid growth, Warner’s Distillery’s philosophy is also about being the world’s best, while nurturing the nature around us and giving back to the environment which gives us so much. The company has three core values: farm-made, hand-finished and “steeped in provenance”.

Warner’s Distillery draws water from their spring, grows the botanicals, and collects fresh honey from their own beehives. Always trying to keep things local and, as custodians of the land, to harvest with a respect for nature and the community. They want to try to give back more than what they take: re-sow, replant, rebuild.

Finally, on those tough days at Falls Farm when the hard toil is getting to them, the Warner’s Distillery team can always rely on the support of their Executive Morale Officer, Leia (pictured below).
