Looking back on another week spent in the south of France during the annual TFWA Exhibition & Conference, my personal highlight was to hear the news that Jillie Cooper was selected as one of the winners of the Frontier’s Talent of Tomorrow Award.

This is a great initiative by the team at Frontier and Ethos Farm to recognise as they say “the younger members of the industry who will become the leaders and influencers of the future – our Talent of Tomorrow”.

Well done to all Talent of Tomorrow award winners but I was particularly delighted to hear that Jillie Cooper (pictured above in the middle) was one of them. I played a very small role in helping her to join the duty free team at William Grant & Sons when I gave her the opportunity after a chance encounter in Scotland.

As I recall, Jillie was spending time across various functions and reaching out to different people within the business as part of the Saltire programme. During our own meeting in Bellshill, I immediately knew that she was someone with huge potential, energy and desire to succeed. All I had to do was to provide her with the platform to display her talents within the duty free channel.

She is also someone who helps others and Jillie is directly involved with the Solibad Project Medellin Colombia foundation helping children. If interested to know more and potentially help her, please contact Jillie directly.

The 2018 full list of Talent of Tomorrow winners can be found by clicking here.

This is the description of Jillie by Frontier’s Talent of Tomorrow:

“Former Commonwealth Games badminton player Jillie Cooper joined William Grant & Sons in 2014 and has overseen the Dufry account since joining GTR in 2016. The team were impressed by the positive impact she has on colleagues, who cited her hard work to improve morale and get the whole office involved with projects.”

Well done Jillie and all of the winners!
