The event recently held on 10th April 2019 in London and organised by the NPD Travel Retail was aimed at showcasing the power of data-driven insights.

The conference had speakers from NPD Travel Retail such as Lawrence Scott, industry advisor and Simon Smith, director – supplier engagement, as well as representatives from Nielsen, ForwardKeys and JCDecaux, each delivering thoughtful provocations on how to use NPD and domestic data to win in travel retail. One of the presentations shared on the day by Lawrence Scott covered the topic of ‘opportunities to engage with the liquor buyer’ and the insights shared are presented below courtesy of NPD Travel Retail.

A question remains on whether certain liquors are being stocked at the right cost at the right time and at the right location to capitalise on passenger (PAX) flows, as seen below.
